Supply Chain Innovation Summit Singapore

TNETS took a leading role in the second edition of the Supply Chain Innovation Summit for Asia Pacific held in Singapore in November. We were asked to provide a technical resource to speak on the subject of Customs in an e-Commerce World – Harnessing technology to speed goods across borders.

TNETS co-founder and director, Neil Johnson, delivered the presentation to around 350 delegates, and the TNETS team of Celia, Venthan, George, Gerard and Ghouse were on hand to engage with delegates throughout the two day event.

The presentation TNETS delivered focused on the challenges companies face when trying to streamline their processes while still using multiple freight forwarders who don’t always have the in-house expertise to ensure compliance with customs rules.

We also highlighted the key differences between freight management systems and customs systems and why it is important for traders to understand the critical role their customs declaring agent plays in the efficient movement of goods.

We left the delegates with a very simple message – It’s time to think differently about your customs processes!
