KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 3): Edaran IT Services Sdn Bhd (Edaran IT) has secured a contract worth RM56.71 million to undertake the maintenance work of hardware, server software and application of the Customs Information Systems from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD).
Edaran IT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Edaran Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Tuesday, Edaran said the 24-month contract took effect from Sept 1, 2019 until Aug 31, 2021.
“This contract will have a significant effect on the earnings per share (EPS) of the company and proceeds from the contract will contribute towards the earnings of Edaran Group for the financial year ending June 30, 2020 [FY20],” it said.
The company’s EPS is estimated to increase by 4.11 sen.
Edaran IT is a full-fledged information technology services and solutions provider, providing end-to-end IT system solutions which include provisioning, installation, commissioning, integration and maintenance of IT systems and related services.
In 2015, Edaran IT was appointed by RMCD as a national single window service provider.
Aside from RMCD, the other major customers of Edaran IT include the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Department of Shariah Judiciary Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, the Prime Minister’s Department, Inland Revenue Board, and the Science, Technology and Innvoation Ministry. — Bernama
